Maxime Trèves
Maxime Trèves is the Founder and CEO of Battri, a company he founded in 2021 to build a French industrial player in lithium-ion battery recycling. In four years, the company has raised €20 million and opened near Arras the largest EV battery recycling plants in France, with an initial capacity of 15,000 tonnes per year, scalable to 35,000, and around 100 jobs created.
He brings a deeply international career and solid industrial expertise — particularly in the automotive sector — which positions him well for the challenges of battery recycling today. He began in finance in the United States, then spent six years working in China and Asia. He went on to build Uber's Vehicle Solutions department across EMEA, before joining the Trèves Group, an automotive supplier, where he led business development and growth through acquisition, and then carried out the turnaround of the group's South American operations, returning the region to profitability.
A graduate of Paris-Dauphine and ESCP, with an MBA from INSEAD, Maxime has studied and worked across three continents.
