Jean-Baptiste Hogard has served as Senior VP of Eramet Lithium since March 2024. In this role, he has overseen the completion and ramp‑up of Eramet’s first lithium plant in Argentina—the first industrial‑scale Direct Lithium Extraction facility operating outside China—while driving the development of subsequent lithium projects and shaping the company’s global lithium strategy.

Over the past 25 years, he has held senior leadership positions across the steel, aluminium, and packaging industries. He previously served as CEO of Erasteel, General Manager at Smurfit WestRock, and Aerospace Market Director at Rio Tinto Alcan. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant at McKinsey, advising clients in the mining and processing industries.
