Marek is a recognised voice in the global grid‑scale energy storage industry, with over 17 years of experience helping turn emerging battery technologies into real‑world infrastructure projects. He holds advisory roles with the board of Reichmuth & Co, Highview and the United Nations, and is currently part of the leadership team building one of the world’s first at‑scale 100% renewable power systems in the Middle East.
Previously, Marek helped pioneer battery storage in Europe as one of the first employees at AES Energy Storage and later joined the founding team of Fluence, guiding its growth from start‑up to IPO. As Managing Director, he oversaw more than $1bn in technology and services sales. In 2017, he was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree.
A sought‑after consultant and keynote speaker, Marek has advised governments, infrastructure investors, utilities and technology companies around the world. He has published over 20 papers, co‑authored the Volta Foundation Battery Report and speaks regularly on energy storage, batteries and the energy transition. He holds master’s and doctoral degrees in engineering and received an executive education at Stanford University and MIT.
