Paul Charles
Paul Charles is an inventor, operator, and infrastructure builder focused on battery manufacturing, energy storage systems, AI infrastructure, and critical mineral supply chains. He is Principal of Charles & Associates, a global advisory firm established more than 20 years ago, advising companies, institutional capital, financial institutions, and governments across North America, Europe, and Asia on gigafactory development, energy storage deployment, and supply chain localization.
His work spans the lithium value chain from brine extraction and material processing through refining and cell manufacturing, with a focus on building complete U.S.-based supply chains tied to gigafactory development, energy storage, and AI-driven power demand.
Paul co-founded and served as Founding CEO and President of American Battery Factory, where he led development of modular LFP gigafactories in the United States, secured more than $250 million in state and utility incentives, and built partnerships across the battery supply chain.
He is the creator of Full Stack Data Centers™, a rapid-deployment platform integrating on-site power generation, battery storage, modular infrastructure, and AI compute to accelerate time-to-power and time-to-revenue.
Paul serves as Co-Chair of NAATBatt’s Energy Storage and Data Center Community. He is the originator of Grid Law™, the principle that power availability, not silicon, determines the pace and location of AI and digital infrastructure deployment. He was named one of the Top 25 Battery Technology Influencers to Follow (2025).
